Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us.

Your Privacy Matters

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our app.

Last Updated July 3, 2026

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve our services.

Personal Information

We do not request, require, or collect any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.

Local HTML Projects & History

All HTML, CSS, and JS code files and your recent URL inputs are stored locally on your device's storage. We do not transfer your project files to our servers.

Device & Performance Telemetry

Our integrated third-party SDKs automatically collect technical identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID, IP address, device model, and OS version) to deliver features, show advertisements, and capture error reports.

Third-Party Services

We partner with Google and Firebase to secure service configuration, app performance tracking, and ad delivery.

Google AdMob (Advertising Platform)

Displays relevant AppOpen and Interstitial advertisements to keep the app free. AdMob processes your Advertising ID and device metrics to cap frequency and personalize ads according to your preference.

Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics

Monitors application stability, page events, and crash information. Collected records are fully anonymized and used solely to diagnose unexpected app shutdowns.

Firebase Realtime Database

Fetches up-to-date configuration values and ad timing options upon application start. This database does not associate configuration downloads with any user accounts.

How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:
To render and maintain local HTML editing features and web-rendering previews
To display and manage AppOpen and Interstitial advertisements compliant with network rules
To analyze telemetry and crash trace files to enhance reliability and debug code errors
To verify compliance with Google Play Store Policies and legal guidelines

Device Permissions & Scope

We use scoped security APIs for document management. No wide storage permissions are needed.

Zero-Permission Sandboxed Storage

Projects save inside the app-specific private directory (getExternalFilesDir). This requires no runtime storage permissions and isolates code from external apps.

Secure Scoped Document Picker

Imports use Android's Storage Access Framework (ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT). The OS grants us temporary, secure access ONLY to the file you select, requesting no global storage permissions.

Internet Connectivity Scope

Utilizes manifest permission (android.permission.INTERNET) solely to fetch user-specified web URLs, CDN library scripts/styles inside the code preview, and request configuration or advertisements from Google and Firebase.

Production Safety & Integration

Developer integrity compliance disclosures for store operations.

Compliant Ad Delivery

All advertisements inside the application are loaded through Google's AdMob platform, adhering to the Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement and Families/Children policies where applicable.

User-Controlled Sharing

The app only shares code when you explicitly click the "Share" action. This invokes Android's native sharing interface (ShareHelper). No background sharing operations are ever executed.

Compliant Library Integrations

Standard open-source libraries (Glide, Lottie, Licenses Dialog) are used strictly for UI rendering and are verified to gather no personal data or device metrics.

Data Security & Wiping

We implement industry-standard encryption and obfuscation (R8/ProGuard) to protect app code integrity. Because all workspace files are saved locally, you can permanently wipe all cached files, history, and projects by going to: Android Settings -> Apps -> HTML Editor Pro -> Storage -> Clear Storage / Clear Cache.
